CTC cycling tour Day 6, Ax Les Thermes to Prades(Port de Pailheres & Col de Jau), 2019/07/12


         早上大夥準備好行李,Ian 講解今日行程。今日Ken 膝蓋不痛,可以騎車了。幫Ken 調整自行車,他坐墊高度太低了,但竟然要調高了兩公分。調對坐墊高度對騎自行車的人很重要,我自己都會記住我的坐墊高度,出發前也有提醒隊友,但是在7月 6日出發前還是每調好,導致膝蓋痛,今日調整好之後,他也覺得騎起來舒服許多。

     早上開始騎乘就要上坡,沒甚麼熱身,要爬升1200米,到海爬2000米的山隘帕伊爾雷斯港 Port de Paiheres。 是此次騎行活動第二高的山口,也是唯二超過海拔兩千米的山隘。先沿D613騎3公里後接D25公路, 騎了六公里爬升三百公尺抵達一小湖 La Lauze,在小湖前照相順便休息。除了我們四個台灣人停下來之外,其他車友續行,一直到海拔一千五,沿途都是大片森林。過了海拔一千五後漸漸從森林變為草原景觀,支援車停在一前方一轉角處,停下來吃點心補水後續行。

     過了海拔一千五後,還有最後六公里爬坡,之後坡度也比較陡了,最大坡度12%。看到終點山頭就在不遠處,路旁的牛群悠閒地吃草,在青天白雲下,我則氣喘呼呼的踩著踏板往上騎。抵達山頂後,就幫隊友照登頂照,我們四個台灣隊友也一起合照,這個山頭海拔剛好超過兩千米,也是當地熱門自行車和自駕遊熱門路線。今日也有非常多車友騎到這個山頭, 山頂似也很廣濶。休息合影後往米亞內(Mijanes)方向下坡,距離米亞內有10.5公里,下向870米,平均坡度8.4%。但道路比較窄,路面也比較差,因此環法賽大都從米亞內方向上Port de Paiheres 山比較多,也比較安全的。

Today there are also very many riders riding to this mountain. The top of the mountain seems to be very wide, after the rest of the group photo to Mijanes direction downhill, 10.5 km from Mia, down 870 meters, the average slope of 8.4%, but the road is narrow, the road is also poor. So the Tour de France is mostly more of a port de Paiheres mountain from the direction of Miyane, and it's safer.

     下山沒多久,覺得前方山景,有草原還有髮夾灣很美麗,就停下來照幾張相片,在繼續騎行沒多久,道路上有一群馬,應該是有人放養的。覺得很新奇,就停下來幫馬兒照相, ,一路上大都遇到牛群比較多, ,馬匹在路上溜搭還是比較少見的。沿著D25下滑10km 左右抵達米亞內(Mijanes),大家下坡手一直按著煞車把手,按到手都酸了, 大家在米亞內休息一會,這裡的小教堂也很漂亮。

      接著轉往D116在下滑 5km抵達海把拔800 米的USSON,接著右轉D118開始另一段爬坡,騎上坡騎了六公里後左轉D17往另一山頭海拔1256米Col du Garabeil,在中午的大太陽下騎車,汗流浹背並不是很舒適。抵達山頂後稍做休息,幫隊友照相後就馬上下滑2 K用中餐地點勒布斯屈埃(Le Bousquet)。

      Lucia 在路旁大樹下有一張野餐桌椅的地方 ,幫我們準備野餐,雖然天氣很熱,但在樹下很涼爽,野餐很舒服。吃到一半,騎加碼路線的美國夫妻也抵達了,他們一早先騎上左晚居住附近的一滑雪勝地 標高1350米Ax-3 Domaines,比我們多爬升了650米。他們只吃了一個三明治外帶兩個三明治,就出發繼續騎了。

     Lucia has a picnic table chair under the roadside tree, helping us prepare for the picnic, although it is hot, but it is cool under the tree, the picnic is very comfortable. Halfway through, American couples riding the plus-size route also arrived, and they rode up the left late-night residence at a ski resort near the 1350-meter Ax-3 Domaines. It climbed 650 meters more than we did. They ate only one sandwich and took two sandwiches, and set out to continue riding.


準備野餐





     Ax-3 Domaines 從Ax Les Thermes 上來這段八公里的爬坡是短而也陡的上坡路段,爬升670米,平均坡度8.4%,最大坡度16%。2013年的環法賽,這裡是山頂終點站,Chris Froome 就是拿下這一站冠軍後披上黃衫的。

    The Ax-3 Domaines' eightkm climb from Ax Les Thermes is a short and steep uphill section. Climb 670 meters, average slope 8.4%, maximum slope 16%. At the 2013 Tour de France, which was the peak finish, Chris Froome wore the yellow jersey after winning the race.

     吃飽喝足後,在下滑 5公里後經過 Roquefort-de-Sault 小鎮後,須注意一往D84叉路口,轉往D84過一條小橋後,開始今天最後一段往Col de Jau上坡路。還要騎10k 爬升500米,海拔1506米Col de Jau 是比利牛斯山脈最好的"鮮為人知的"自行車攀登之一。它位於加泰羅尼亞比利牛斯山脈, 從這個方向攀登景觀是不太壯觀的,其特點是穿過蜿蜒森林的狹窄道路,中間有一段路沿則小溪邊上行。今日是很熱的一天,還好這段路大部分在森林裡騎行,看到森林消失了,就知道即將抵達山頂了。這是此行最後一個海拔超過一千米的山頭,最後一天的騎行山頭都不到一千米。

     After full eating and drinking, after a 5km slide through the town of Roquefort-de-Sault, pay attention to the D84 fork, turn to d84 over a small bridge, and start today's last leg uphill to Col de Jau. Also climbing 500 meters on a 10k climb, Col de Jau at 1506m is one of the best "little-known" bike climbs in the Pyrenees. It is located in the Pyrenees of Catalonia, and the climbing landscape from this direction is less spectacular and features a narrow road through the winding forest, with a section of road in the middle along the edge of a creek. It's a hot day today, and it's good that most of the road rides in the forest. Seeing the forest disappear, We knew it was about to reach the top of the mountain. This is the last mountain on the trip to reach an altitude of more than one kilometer, and the last day of cycling is less than a kilometer.

     抵達山頂沒有樹木遮陰,在大太陽下,騎乘起來比較辛苦,還好接下來都是下坡路段了。到達山頂時,支援車和先抵達的隊友坐在標示前聊天。在山上遇到一位重裝單車旅行的年輕人,前後都有裝馬鞍袋, 攜帶露營裝備。我將手機裡面去年去奧德瑞的雙湖之旅,騎行照片顯示給Ian 領隊看,去年我們也是背著馬鞍袋重裝騎行,但是我們住飯店,只帶著後馬鞍袋。等大家都到齊,休息吃完點心,之後下坡騎到今日住宿地加泰羅尼亞小鎮普拉德斯Prades。

     Reaching the top of the mountain without trees to shade, in the big sun, riding up more hard, but also the next is the downhill section. When you reach the top of the mountain, the support car and the first arriving teammates sit in front of the sign and chat. In the mountains meet a young man on a heavy bike trip, with saddle bags and camping gear. I took my phone inside last year's trip to Audrey's Double Lake, and the cycling photos showed ian the leader, and last year we were also riding back in saddle bags. But we stayed in a restaurant, with only a back saddle bag. Wait until everyone arrives, rest and eat a snack, and then ride downhill to the Catalan town of Prades Prades, where they are staying today.

     下坡沿著D14下滑,下坡往Prades的景致比較開闊,會過一些別致的小山城Mosset,沒有時間久留,只能停下照相留念。這兩天有熱浪來襲,下坡對面吹過來的風感覺是熱的。抵達今日住宿旅館Best Western Inn 前,Ian 沒有騎最近路線,特地帶我們繞一下Prades 城區,再到郊區的旅館。今日的旅館有游泳池,天氣也很熱,很適合游泳,泳池也每有人使用,水也很乾淨。不過今日我們整隊都沒有去游泳。由於去城區還有對距離,美國隊友來詢問我們要不要一起在旅館吃自助餐,每人 20歐元。最後我們全隊在旅館用自助餐,餐點很豐富,酒精飲品另外計價。大家聚在一起邊吃邊聊天,還比較像最後一天的Happy Ending。

Today's hotel has a swimming pool, the weather is also very hot, very suitable for swimming, the swimming pool is also used by everyone, the water is also very clean. But today our whole team didn't go swimming, and because there was still a distance to the city, our American teammates asked us if we wanted to eat a buffet at the hotel together for 20 euros per person. Finally our whole team in the hotel buffet, meals are very rich, alcoholic drinks in addition to the price. Everyone gets together to eat and chat, and is more like the last day of Happy Ending.
