CTC cycling tour Day 5, Saint Girons to Ax Les Thermes (Col de Port & Plateau de Beille), 2019/07/11

      昨晚大家都得到充分的休息,今天一開始大家都生龍活虎,精神飽滿。我們已經騎了好多天了,早上大家都將自行車打飽氣,Ian 講解完今日的行程後,順便調查今日中午用餐型式, 結果一半的人要吃餐廳,一半的人要野餐。最後我們四個台灣人加上John在餐廳用餐,其他人野餐。

      We all get a full rest last night, at the beginning of everyone live, full of spirit. I've been riding for few days, and everyone is filling up with their tiers in the morning. After Ian explained today's trip, by the way, he checked the lunch style today, and half of the people had to eat in the restaurant, and half had a picnic. Four of us Taiwanese plus John dine in the restaurant, and the others have a picnic.

早上大家都將自行車打飽氣

       今天一早也是沿D618 公路前行,先騎乘27公里到馬薩(Massat)。這段路開始沿著薩拉特河(Salat River)上游走,一直到馬薩(Massat)都是緩上坡但也有下坡,上上下下的比較像是丘陵地。 這段路很適合輪車團騎,今日Jamie 和老婆講好了,他一早就獨推往前衝刺了,他老婆和我們一起騎,到馬薩前我們還和美國隊一起輪車。

      This morning also follows the D618 road, riding 27km to Massat, which begins to swim along the Salat River, until Massat is slow uphill, but also downhill, up and down more like hills. This road is suitable for cycling in turn. Jamie and his wife discussed it today, he pushed forward early in the morning, his wife ride with us. We also cycle in turn with the Team USA before we got to Massa.

     抵達馬薩後,Lucia 開支援車在這裡等大家休息補給,美國隊不停下來休息,直接攻上Col de Port。這裡開始要騎 12.8km 爬升600米, 平均坡度4.7%,算是很好騎的山隘。我們隊友Ken 騎到這裡, 膝蓋疼痛,從這裡上支援車。我稍作休息補給後,自己一人獨上Col de Port。

     Upon arrival in Massa, Lucia drove a support car here to wait for everyone to rest, and the U.S. team didn't stop to rest, hitting Col de Port directly. It starts to climb 600 meters by 12.8km, with an average slope of 4.7%, which is a good riding pass. Our teammate Ken rode here, with a sore knee, from here to support the car. After I took a break, I went to Col de Port alone.

      開始加速按照自己節奏上山,想看看有美有機會追上美國隊友,看來是想太多了,我追不上隊友, 也沒有被其他同隊隊友追上, 倒是被當地許多車友刷卡超車。這段路柏油路面很好,車不算多,但路面窄了點,在轉彎處要小心對面下坡的汽車。這段路也是今年環法賽第15賽段會經過的路段,但賽段沒上Col de Port,到半山腰轉D17上海拔1375 米 Col de Peguere,這段路更窄而且更陡,最大坡度14%。

     Started to speed up the hill at their own pace, to see if there was a chance to catch up with the American teammate, it seems to be too much, I can't catch up with my teammates, and I haven't been caught up with other team-mates. It was overtaken by many local car friends. This section of the road asphalt road is very good, not much car, but the road narrow point, at the turn to be careful opposite the downhill car. This road is also the 15th stage of this year's Tour de France, but the section does not go up Col de Port, to the half-mountain d17 elevation 1375 meters de Col Guerre, this road is narrower and steeper, with a maximum slope of 14%.

      騎了將近一小時鐘抵達海拔1249 米 Col de Port,Max 已經在山上躺椅上休息一會了,喜歡爬坡的美國夫妻檔先下山了,我等後面夥伴上山幫他們照相,自己也和路標合影。接著到支援車取補給品,香蕉等來補充體力,等大夥都到齊, 休息補給後準備下山。

       Riding a small clock to 1249 meters above sea level Col de Port, Max has been resting on the mountain lounge chairs for a while, the American couple who like to climb the hill first down the hill, I wait for my partner to go up the hill to help them take pictures, and i to take pictures with the road signs. Then to support the car to get supplies, bananas and so on to supplement physical strength, such as the group are to Qi, rest after the supply ready to go down.

     今天天氣很好,下山只需多穿上背心即可,沿D618下滑,經過Surba後,有許多圓環。我沿著事先規劃的軌跡行走,但還是在一處圓環走錯方向,Johnson/Kevin 和我三人走上了E9 往安道爾公國的主要道路,非常多大卡車,走了一會 就發現走錯路,再回頭找D618路口。經過一座橋抵達Tarascon-sur-Ariege,就看到Lucia和Ian,我們就在過橋後第一家餐館用中餐。今天有一半人在餐廳用餐,點了兩盤Tapas 配 一些麵包吃,結果後來發現吃太少了,還得加上披薩或義大利麵才夠。Lucia 還得去採買另一半人的野餐食物,並沒有和我們一起用餐,其實騎單車吃野餐也不錯,省時間又吃得飽。

     The weather is fine today, just put on a vest more down the hill. Down the D618, after Surba, there were many rings, and I walked in the wrong direction in a pre-planned track, but still in the wrong direction in a ring, Johnson/Kevin and i three men took e9's main road to the Principality of Andorra, very big truck, walked for a while, and found the wrong way, and then looked back to D618 Intersection. After arriving at Tarascon-sur-Ariege via a bridge, Lucia and Ian were seen, and we were served Chinese at the first restaurant after crossing the bridge. Half of today's people eat in the restaurant, ordering two plates of Tapas with some bread, only to find that they eat too little. You'll have to add pizza or pasta. Lucia had to pick up the other half's picnic food, and didn't eat with us. In fact, riding a bicycle to eat a picnic is also good, save time and eat full.

       用完中餐準備出發,正值日正當中,天氣很熱,應當休息久一點再出發。沿著D618騎三公里後,右轉D20 爬上今天另一座山頭Col de Marmare,沿D618騎了好多天, 今天下午離開了D618。轉向D20 一開始騎三公里一段陡坡到阿爾納夫小村落,路旁有山泉水,剛好停下休息補給。

     When you have used up Chinese food to prepare to start, just in the middle of the day, the weather is very hot, should rest a little longer and then start. After riding three kilometers along the D618, turn right to the D20 and climb to the other hill top of today's Col de Marmare. Ride along the D618 for many days, leaving the D618 this afternoon, turning to the D20 and starting with a three-kilometre steep ride to the small village of Arnaf, with a spring water on the side of the road, just stopping to rest the supplies.

       這段路是鄉間小路,車很少,繼續騎了27公里才抵達 1100 米D20和D44叉路口,中途Kevin 的車破胎,花了一些時間換內胎。 路邊有一些解說牌,標示安道爾方向的山頭和解釋高原形成原因。沒有騎上Col de Marmare,之後開始下坡,沿著D20騎幾公里後轉D44抵達今晚住宿地點迷人的溫泉小鎮 阿克斯泰爾姆Ax-Les-Thermes。

     This road is a country road, with few cars. Continued riding 27km to reach the 1 100m D20 and D44 fork junctions, halfway through Kevin's car broke the tire, and took some time to change the inner tire.  There are some commentary boards on the side of the road, and the hilltop reconciliation in the direction of Andorra is the cause of the formation of the plateau.  didn't ride on Col de Marmare, then start downhill, ride a few kilometers along the D20 and turn D44 to reach tonight's accommodation in the charming spa town of Axtelm Ax-Les-Thermes

       阿克斯泰爾姆(法語 :Ax-les-Thermes )是 法國 南部-庇里牛斯大區 阿列日省的一個市鎮 ,位於 阿列日河 畔,屬於 富瓦區 (Foix) 阿克斯勒泰爾梅縣 (Ax-les-Thermes)。 阿克斯泰爾姆以硫磺溫泉而聞名,「Ax」來自 拉丁語, Aquae 意為水, Thermes 在法語中意思為溫泉. 阿克斯泰爾姆如今以溫泉旅遊、滑雪、和博彩業為主要經濟來源,它距離安道爾公國和西班牙只有30公里。

     Axtelm (French: Ax-les-Thermes) is a town in the province of Aletges, south-of-the-border region of France, on the banks of the Alegh River and belongs to ax-les-Thermes in the Foix region. Axtelum is famous for its sulfur hot springs, "Ax" comes from Latin, Aquae means water, and Thermes means hot springs in French. Axtelum now focuses on hot spring tourism, skiing and gambling. He is only 30 km from the Principality of Andorra and Spain.

今晚住宿旅館

      我們在教堂前不遠處一溫泉池泡腳,之後到小鎮廣場附近超市買水和水果,我和Ken先在廣場小攤子買飲料和小披薩果腹,然後呼叫另外兩位同伴來用餐。其他三人都點牛排和豬排,我點了不一樣的餐點,乳酪培根之類的,結果口味太鹹,啤酒喝完了,餐點只吃一半。那乳酪培根大部分都是四個點一鍋一搭配麵包起吃,老闆特地幫我做成一人份的,乳酪很香,但太鹹不太符合我的口味,用完餐後就散步回旅館睡覺。

    We soaked in a hot spring pool not far from the church, then went to the supermarket near the town square to buy water and fruit. Ken and I first bought drinks and small pizza sashimi at the square stall, then called two other companions to eat, the other three ordered steaks and pork chops, and I ordered different meals, cheese bacon and the like, and the result was too salty, the beer was drunk, and the meal was only half eaten. The cheese bacon is mostly four points a pot with bread to eat, the boss specially helped me make a person, the cheese is very fragrant, but too salty is not too good for my taste. Walk back to the hotel to sleep after you've run out of meals.
